A New Imprint of Life’s Track
Tuesday – Sunday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Monga (Wanhua) was once a prosperous river port, but as times changed and industry transformed, the area declined. The district has experienced both prosperity and desolation, interweaving complex historical and humanistic stories to produce this beautiful, living cityscape, laying the cornerstone for Wanhua's industry and development.
The movable-type printing industry had a glorious history in Wanhua. Factories subcontracted work to families in Wanhua, and the district became a major industrial area at that time, spurring the overall development of Taiwan’s publishing industry. The printing presses preserved here are a memorial to that historic industrial center; along with Sun Binding Factory, founded in what today is the Bopiliao Historic Block, these artifacts link memories across time and space.
